Overview
Beau Simmons' artworks are entirely shot on medium and large format film on camera systems from the 70s and 80s. The difference in his work compared to digital photography is that he is very limited in how many photos he can capture for each body of work. Beau's vision is captured on a roll of film where he is limited to only 10 exposures, carefully planned and executed with each exposure. That roll is then developed in a traditional dark room, scanned and enlarged, and finally printed on an archival process that will live on for hundreds of years.
Each artwork is a limited edition print of 10. They all come with Certificates of Authenticity which are signed and numbered accordingly from the artist. This is designed to provide the artwork's provenance and to ensure collectors that each artwork will never be reproduced once they have sold out.
"I constantly thrive on the need to challenge myself while continuing to grow and set myself apart from other photographers. The feeling of capturing an artwork that took me years and years at the same location, roll after roll of film, until finally seeing it come to life, is my favorite part of being an artist. When you develop each roll of film under special chemicals in a darkroom, watching it slowly come to life, really is a rewarding experience. I want my collectors to truly feel that they are investing in an extremely limited work of art. To know that they own an artwork that now connects them to not only myself but to other collectors who appreciate my process and the true quality of film photography."

Biography
Beau Simmons has been a professional photographer since 2009. Initially known for his work as a fashion photographer, collaborating with renowned brands like Marc Jacobs, Guess Jeans, and Converse, he became a sought-after photographer for top modeling agencies like Elite Models, IMG, and Ford Models.
However, Beau’s heart lies in the Western lifestyle and the beauty of the American landscape. Transitioning away from fashion, he now focuses on capturing the essence of this culture through medium and large-format film photography. He has worked on some of the largest ranches in the United States, both on and off horseback, documenting the lives of cowboys across diverse landscapes. Inspired by masters like Richard Avedon, Slim Aarons, and Steven Shore, his work evokes nostalgia and emotion, preserving authentic moments from a forgotten era.
A strong advocate for veterans, Beau’s storytelling culminated in his first coffee table book, The Twenty-Year War, created in collaboration with combat veterans, followed by a traveling exhibition in various museums after its release in 2021. He actively supports numerous causes, including cancer research, partnering with organizations like The American Cancer Society and the Careity Foundation. His collaboration with writer and Director of the hit television series Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan, unveiled the timeless allure of the Four Sixes Ranch, offering an indelible tribute while championing cancer support services.
In just three years as an artist, Beau showcased his work at Art Miami, one of the world's largest art fairs, where he gained significant recognition and established a strong presence in the art community. This experience has since opened doors for further leading art fairs, exhibitions, and collaborations, allowing him to share his unique vision with a broader audience. His dedication to authenticity and storytelling continues to inspire, paving the way for new and exciting opportunities in the art world.
