Born in Montreal in 1966, Heidi Spector follows the lineage of geometric minimalism and Hard-edge painting. Her works are composed of bands of acrylic on Russian birch panels, coated with epoxy resin and finished with a torch to obtain an immaculate mirror surface. Inspired by pop and techno music, she explores repetition, color, and light refraction. Her "cubes" and panels act as sculptural objects that integrate the viewer's environment through their sheen.
