Hunt Slonem

Born in 1951 in Kittery, Maine, Hunt Slonem is an American painter and sculptor linked to Neo-Expressionism. Trained at Tulane University and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, he is famous for his paintings of bunnies, butterflies, and tropical birds. His technique involves cross-hatching into wet paint ("wet-on-wet") to create rhythmic and spiritual patterns. His works are often presented in antique frames he collects, accentuating their timeless quality.
