Biographie
Le travail du peintre Scott Pattinson (né en 1974, Toronto) peut être vu dans le contexte d’une résurgence du formalisme au début du 21e siècle libéré des méta-récits de l’abstraction moderne. Les peintures à l’huile de Pattinson sont des micro-récits d’expérience collective articulés à travers la couleur, la texture et une sensibilité spatiale exigeante.
Pattinson a étudié l’architecture et le design urbain à l’Université de Toronto et a obtenu un baccalauréat en design urbain de l’Université de Waterloo. Depuis 2005, il a exposé dans de nombreuses expositions collectives et individuelles dans des galeries à travers le Canada, y compris une rétrospective en 2014 à la Gallery Stratford. Son travail est conservé à la Galerie Stratford ainsi que dans de nombreuses collections corporatives et privées au Canada, à Dubaï, en Italie, en France et aux États-Unis.
