Born in Canada in 1959, Jane grew up in Brantford, Ontario and studied at Queens University, OCAD University, Sheridan College, and New York University.

After finishing her studies in art and film, Jane directed, produced, and edited short films for Channel 4 UK and screened her works in international film festivals. In 1998, Jane moved to the Bahamas, where contemporary art became her sole focus and passion.

Jane’s art consists of six series including The Gatherings, Into the Blue, Morse Code, Resination, Harmony, and Neon. Her works vary by medium and technique including acrylic paint, resin, neon lights, foil, and mirrors. She continues to experiment with new materials, stretching artistic boundaries and themes.

Jane is best known for her Gatherings Collection which is a reflection of human connection. The sculpture-like three-dimensional figures are the embodiment of three decades of work. Each painting literally and figuratively jumps off the canvas as the Gatherings dance in a synergistic halo of light, depth, color and action. While each work conveys a unique emotional experience, they all share a feeling of joy and wonderment. For Jane, “Everything that matters happens when people come together. Life is a series of Gatherings, that all add up to a life well lived.”

For all of her series, Jane takes inspiration from the world around her. From the frenetic activity of a New York street to the peaceful harmonious calm of a Bahamian beach. Jane proclaims, “The work you see today is the product of past and present experiences, a reflection of the courage it takes to Live, Laugh & Love.”

Her works have been shown in numerous international solo art exhibitions, and she won the coveted Art Expo NYC Solo Artist Award. Jane’s paintings are prominently displayed in luxury hotels around the world. Her works can be found in the collections of celebrities, Fortune 500 Corporations, and Royal families to name a few. Jane’s capacity to create new and exciting works that emotionally and soulfully touch the audience is unmatched.
